Show Redmen Handed Second Division Defeat The Cedar City Redmen. although al-though already crowned champions cham-pions of the Dixie Division basketball bas-ketball league, dropped a final league encounter at St. George Friday evening, 42 to 32. It was the second loss of the league series for Coach Ray Englestead and it was the second defeat at the hands of the Dixie Flyers. Dixie took an early lead in the contest and maintained that Jead throughout the game. However, the Redmen were still in the game up to the final four minutes min-utes when the Flyers pulled away to a decisive lead and coasted In to victory. It was a matter of poor shooting shoot-ing on the part of the Redmen that really cost them the game, plus the determination of the hustling Flyers to take the victory vic-tory and hold onto thv'r share of the division second piace along with Hurricane. The Redmen attempted a totaJ of 58 shots in the 32 minutes' of piay and CuiificCtcu wrltat Cai'y nine for a shooting average of 15.5 per cent from the outside. Although Dixie's average was not much higher the 14 field goals for the Flyers came for the most part on breakaways and easy layups. Defensively the Redmen also let up, letting the Flyers steal the ball for fast breaks. However, the Redmen controlled the bank-boards bank-boards but to no avail.
