Show Utah Construction Shows Strength InPosf-Seasori'Game Utah Construction, after winning win-ning the Cedar City basketball league title, walked off Tuesday evening with ihe post season tournament championship with a 39 to 32 win over Pat and Mike's. The championship game was one of hot and cold streaks with the lead changing as the streak9 of good shooting changed from one team to the other. Utah Construction jumped into a first quarter lead of 7 to 6 and moved on to a 10 point spread at 21 to 11 by hajftime. It was the second half of play that provided - the unusal aspect. In the third quarter Pat and Mike's Jumped back whh an 18 point scoring spree while holding the miners to 3 points, giving Pat and Mike's a 29 to 24 advantage at the end of three quarters of play. Rerersal That third quarter was nearly reversed in the fourth with Pat and Mike's cooling off and scoring scor-ing only three points to up Its total to-tal to 32. Utah Construction, on the other hand, paced by Don Marshall and Bob Crane, pounded pound-ed In 15 points to regain the lead and capture the tournament championship. It was no easy matter for the miners, however. Pat and Mike's maintained the lead throughout the first six minutes of the fourth quarter and it was with only 1:43 minues showing on the clock that a shot by Marshall tied the score at 32 all. Last Thursday in the opening round of the tournament Utah Construction ousted Dennett's from the championship bracket with a 59 to 32 win and Pat and Mike's won the tight to play for the championship with a 56 to 35 win over Columbia. The league and the tournament was again sponsored this- year by the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
