Show Mobilgas Economy Run Route Takes in Cedar Cedar The longest, toughest route In the history of the Mobilgas Economy Econ-omy Run will pass through Cedar Ce-dar City, with 22 cars competing and the scores of attending vehicles ve-hicles hitting this city some time on the second day of the four day schedule, Tuesday. Mar. 20. The run this year will start in Los Angeles at 13:01 a. m. March 19 and end at Colorado Springs on March 22. The first day schedule will be from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the first overnight stop, by way of Death Valley. Tuesday, Mar. 20, the caravan will leave Las Vegas and will follow U. S. Highway 91 through St. George and Cedar City with a refueling stop at Beaver. Second Sec-ond night stop wlU.be in Salt Lake City. The cars will follow a route 1468.8 miles long, through heavy traffic, deserts and mountains. They wil Idrlve to 203 feet below sea level in Death Valley, climb to 11,312 feet at Monarch Pass. Colo., and pass through drastic temperature changes. The test this year has been extended ex-tended to four days instead of the usual three and five western west-ern states will be touched on the route. |
