Show BPW Club Undertakes Special Civil Defense Project Cedar City Business and Professional Pro-fessional Women's Club is sponsoring spon-soring for the second successive year a public meeting dealing with the vital problem of Civil Defense, It was announced this week. Mamie Eck. BPW CD chairman, announced that TSgt. Emu Ed-singa, Ed-singa, sector sergeant assigned to the C D program from the Bakersfield Filter Center. Detachment Detach-ment One, and Mrs. Bruce H. Mlnear, co-ordlnator Ground Ob-server Ob-server Corps for Washington County, would be special guests at the public meeting. The CD meet will be held at Hotel El Escalante on Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mar. 14 at 7:30 p. m. The meeting will be a dinner meeting meet-ing and reservations should be made by Tuesday, Mar. 13, it was indicated. Others to' be in attendance at the meeting will be Jesse Guy-mon, Guy-mon, CD chief of five southern Utah counties; MUton Sevy, CD director for Cedar City; Rube Winterrose, Cedar City CD superintendent; sup-erintendent; Hal Chrlstensen, Iron County CD director, and other oth-er officials of both Cedar City and Parowan. Mrs. Minear holds a Master of Arts degree from George Washington Wash-ington University and has served as chief clinical physchologist for the department of health, District Dis-trict of Columbia. In addition she has served In mental health and alcoholic rehabilitation clinics clin-ics from 1947 through 1954. She moved to St. George in 1954 where she Is a member of the BPW, vice president of the American Association of University Univer-sity Women, and a member of that city's Garden Club. She has Just completed an intensive in-tensive two-week's GOC course at Tyndell Air Force Base, Florida Flori-da In connection with her present pres-ent assignment with the GOC Anyone in the area interested in this vital program is cordially Invited to attend.
