Show Strikette Bowlers Begin Evening in Costumes Members of the Strikette Bow-ling Bow-ling League were right in style Monday evening as they came costumed for Halloween. Judges had a hard time deciding on the winners of the costumes that Is there were so many cute and funny attires. Co-winners were named as they came as look alikes, two negro girls. They were Dona Wand and Sheila Crosby. Second place went to Francis Holyoak who was dressed as a Mexican prospector. Scotty Hoyt won third place as an Indian Girl and fourth place went to Afton Stapley as a milk maid. Nora Smith, Dorothy McCarthy and Martha Hoyt should have honorable mentions. They were dressed like a horse and a cowboy. cow-boy. Their problem was that they had to disemble the horse in order to bowl and they did not give the judges full advantage ad-vantage of their outfit. They made up for it in bowling, bowl-ing, however. Jim's College service ser-vice had the high game rolled this year in the Women's league, an 870. They also had a high series of 2308. Individually Millie Kehl had the high series of 519 and the high game of the evening was a 193 rolled by Nora Smith. In other leagues, high scores were as follows: Tuesday Coffee League: Team No. 2 had the high game of 501 and also the high series of 1351. High game honors went to Rosie Graff with a 213 and she also had high scries of 512. Ally Katts: KSUB swept the high game and series honors with an 829 and a 2317, respectively. respec-tively. Millie Kehl had the high game of 213 and Evelyn Jones won series honors with a 516. |
