Show BLM Advisory Board Elections Slated for Next Week Nominations for positions on the Cedar City District Advisory Board, of the Bureau of Land Management, will be made at a meeting to be held Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Cedar City District Office, Of-fice, Farks Office Building, Cedar Ce-dar City. Nominations will be accepted between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p. m. to fill the three-year terms of the following follow-ing advisory board members whose terms have expired: Edwin O. Larson, sheep representative repre-sentative for Precinct No. 4. consisting con-sisting of Zion, Smith, Leeds, Pintura, Gould and Purgatory units; Alex B. Williams, sheep representative for Precinct No. 1 consisting of Bear Valley, Paro-wan, Paro-wan, Mud Sprinns, Summit, Cedar Ce-dar and New Harmony units, and Richard H. Leigh, cattle representative re-presentative for Precinct No. 1. All three men are from Cedar City. Operators in each precinct are the only electors qualified to make nominations for the vacancy va-cancy in the precinct in which they are licensed, with sheep operators op-erators to nominate a sheep representative, re-presentative, and cattle operators operat-ors for the cattle representative. Ballots bearing the names of those nominated will be mailed to all operators in the Cedar City District. |
