Show Explorers, Fathers Plan Kolob Trek On November 24 a throng of Registered Boys of Explorer Age and their fathers will converge on the mouth of Taylor Creek near New Harmony to begin two days of high adventure as they hike the little known trails of the Kolob country. They will be participating In an annual event sponsored by the Cedar Breaks Scout District, planned and directed dir-ected by boys of Explorer age who are members of the District Explorer Cabinet From the mouth of Taylor Creek the trail leads to the summit sum-mit of Lee Pass, down to Timber Creek and on to La Verkin Creek where the group will camp for the night The next morning they will hike the remaining 2Vj miles to Kolob Natural Bridge, where lunch will be eaten. After I a short rest and tour of the area, I the Explorers will make the ten mile trek back to the mouth of Taylor Creek. All who are fMunate enough to go on this hike will see some of the most spectacular, but lit tie known scenery in the west They will pass near the great caverns and overhangings which make up the five fingers of Kolob, Ko-lob, and will have a chance to explore the giant Kolob Natural Bridge and surrounding panorama, pano-rama, no less spectacular.
