Show PARAGONAH fiEY.'S NOTES I Mrs. Kilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Lasca Hunt has a new grandchild. A boy was bom to Wanda and Clarence Benson, Jr. of Parowan last week. The Joe Bensons of Beaver were overnight visitors at the Joe Lamoreaux home Friday and Saturday. Orval Lamoreaux of St. George was here to spend Tuesday of last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lan.pux and the Chester Robinsons. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Bentley and their little boys have moved back to Paragonah from Mt. Pleasant, after spending the summer months there. Mrs. Olive Edwards was very pleased to receive a telephone call from her son Billy Saturday. The call came from the Phllli-pine Phllli-pine Islands where Bill Is stationed sta-tioned at present Mrs. Gwen Jones and Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Jones returned from Salt Lake City Tuesday of last week after being there with Albert Jones who underkent eye surgery. sur-gery. Albert is reported to be doing do-ing as well as can be exacted. Virginia and the children are In Beaver at present visiting with family members. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bettridge of Parowan were Sunday visitors at the Jim Bettridge home. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Engle-stead Engle-stead have returned to St. George after spending some time in Paragonah. Mr. and Mrs. Mario Stones and children and Carlyle and Blair Mitchell all of Cedar City were ' Sunday visitors at the D. Amasa Stones home. Chester Robinson entered the Iron County Hospital Thursday for medical treatment and is reported re-ported to be improving. Mrs. Robinson was scheduled for surgery Tuesday. Leo Dunton and Raymond Prothero were hospitalized tho first of last week after running off the road and wrecking the car while looking for deer. Mr. Dunton was out in a few days but Mr. Prothero remained for surgey on a foot that had been bothering him for some time. Mrs. Eva Lou Lamoreaux entertained en-tertained the members of her sewing club at her home on Wednesday evening of last week. The group of ladies spent a pleasant evening together. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and two babies left for Logan Sunday afternoon. Donald is attending at-tending school at Utah State Un-lversity Un-lversity and Laura and the child ren have been here with her' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lam oreaux. Mrs. Ruby Bauer of Cedar Cl'.y was in town Saturday to spe nd the day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson. . Mr. and Mrs. Dean Robinson and their small daughter- returned re-turned to Taft, Calif. Sunday after visiting in this ara for more than two weeks. Thy spent the time at the Revere lfobinson home here and in Parow an with the Bob Millers. J. Leonard Topham was expected ex-pected home Tuesday following a stay In the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital where he underwent un-derwent surgery on Monday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hollingshead and daughter, Marian, of Milford visited here at the Jim Bettridge home Thursday of last week. Miss Holllirgshetd remained in Paragonah to spend a week with the family)! her aunt and uncle. Miss Patsy Topham was home from Salt Lake City for the week end "with her people, the Alma Topham family. She was accompanied accom-panied by her cousin, Miss Ear-lene Ear-lene LeFevre. The girls' grandparents, grand-parents, Ir. and Mrs." Asa Topham, Top-ham, took them back to the City on Sunday and will visit there with relatives for a time. Arch Lamoreaux enjoyed a wwk end trip to Enterprise from Friday to Sunday. He met his son, Leland of Henderson at St. George and the two had a Bood week end together. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Walker of Cedar City, were Sunday visitors visi-tors hore with Larue's mother, Mrs. Eda Thornton. Mrs. Anna R. Williamson and her son, William, enjoyed a line trip recently. They traveled to Provo to attend the reception for newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Peter Duke. The bride is the former Miss Lu Jean Williamson, Wil-liamson, Mrs. Williamson's granddaughter. The reception was theld in the Provo Stake House Oct. 2Gth. The visitors stayed in Provo overnight with the Alfred Williamsons Wil-liamsons and enjoyed seeing other family members, including Mrs. May Sant and some of her family who had come from Preston, Pres-ton, Idaho and Mrs. Lareta Abbott Ab-bott and daughters. The travelers returned home by way of Richfield, where they visited overnight with Mrs. Williamson's Wil-liamson's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Golden. Gold-en. Mr. and Mrs. Murl Gibson and daughter, Kathy, of Cedar City were Sunday visitors at the Wilson Wil-son Lund home. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Prothero of Montebello, Calif, are here visiting visit-ing with relatives. Their stay is even more interesting than usual as Ruth's sister, Mrs. La-verne La-verne Stewart, is also here from Nampa, Idaho. Tho ladies are having a fine time with another sister, Mrs. Rowena Stones. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Williams Wil-liams of Salt lake City, friends of Mrs. Iras Jones, were Sunday visitors at the Jones home. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Clove of Enterprise En-terprise visited here on Thursday of last week with Mr. Clove's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robinson. |
