Show NEWCASTLE NEWS NOTES bf Norma Christensen Mrs. Roberta Clark and daughter daugh-ter Bonnie of Cedar City, were week end visitors at the home of their folks, Mr. -and Mrs. Robert Piatt, and also at the Warren Piatt home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gillies and family of Las Vegas, Nev. were Sunday visitors at the home of their mother, Mrs. Geneva Gillies. Gil-lies. They all went to Cedar City In the afternoon and visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kumen Gardner and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hulct and family Journeyed to St. George last week to visit Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet, who are living there for the winter. They also visited in New Harmony with Ramona's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbey. Mrs. Clara Hughes of Arlington, Arling-ton, Virginia, and her son and family, Captain and Mrs. Ken wood Jackson, presently stationed sta-tioned at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, were visitors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Hart. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt and family and Mrs. Effie Beach-am Beach-am Journeyed to Parowan last week to visit Mrs. Maria Piatt Munford who resides there. Visiting at the Mont Sorensen home this week were Mont's folks, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Sorensen Soren-sen of Orderville. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hulet and daughters visited In St. George Sunday with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lang. Melvin Hulet also visited his folks, the Charles F. Hulets, this past week. The elder Mr. Hulet has not been feeling well, but his family reports he Is much better. Uvada Stake Conference was held Saturday night and Sunday in the Enterprise Ward Chapel. Elder Alma Sonne, Assistant to the Twelve Apostles, was the visiting vis-iting authority from Salt Lake City. Bryon L. Bunker, Missionary Mission-ary co-ordinator for this district, from Las Vegas, was also a featured fea-tured speaker. Reed Prince and Jim Kilnore of New Harmony, were visitors this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt The Escalante Valley Lions club held their annual turkey shoot in conjunction with the opening op-ening of pheasant season. It was such a bitter cold day, I would think everyone would rather stay home by the fire. |
