Show Magazine Describes Improvements Of New Chevrolets "A marked improvement In traffic handling due to power steering plus greater speed in upper traffic range acceleration, were two important conclusions reached in an independent performance per-formance test on the 1953 Chevrolet", Chev-rolet", Stanley Bradshaw of Brad-shaw Brad-shaw Chevrolet Co., of Cedar City announced today. Mr. Bradshaw pointed out that the impartial tests on Chevrolet's Chevro-let's 1953 model, revealed for the first time in June issue of "Science "Sci-ence and Mechanics" magazine, showed that power steering is a real driver aid, even to owners of relatively light weight cars, and that the changes in Chevrolet's Chevro-let's power plant and Powergllde transmission, this year, have produced pro-duced a faster pick-up in the traffic speed ranges of 10 and 20 to 60 miles per hour. In order to show how changes In design actually affected the performance of Chevrolet's 1953 model, the "Science and Mechanise" Mechan-ise" tocts mmnarpH tho rpsulta of a 1943 two-ten series Chevrolet, equipped with power steering, against the results of their independent in-dependent tests on last year's Chevrolet Styline without power steering. Their report on these two cars is one of a continuing series designed by the magazine to provide prospective car buyers buy-ers with practical and completely independent performance Information Infor-mation based on scientific tests. |
