Show Swimming Pool Set For May 30 Opening Repairs and equipment tests at the Cedar City municipal swimming swim-ming pool have been under way this week, and it is hoped that the pool will be ready for opening open-ing for the summer season by Saturday, May 30. Unless the weather is bad or some unexpected delay is encountered encoun-tered in getting the pool ready for use, the opening will be held on that day, according to City Manager Thomas Thorsen. This season it will be possible to buy season tickets which will make it possible for people to make much wider use of the pool at a considerable saving in cost of admission. The season tickets, both for individuals and for family groups, have been on sale for the past two weeks. However, How-ever, the sale has not been at all brisk the manager states. By the purchase of a season ticket an individual can use the pool as much as he likes during dur-ing the summer season at a cost of $3.00. A family ticket will admit ad-mit the members of the family, no matter how large a family it may be, to the pool at any time, and as often as the individual members desire. The cost of the family season ticket is only $8.00. Those who wish to take advantage ad-vantage of this offering should buy their tickets now, and start using them on opening day, or as soon as they desire after that. |
