Show Fish and Game Department Gives Information on New Licenses Fishing and combination fishing fish-ing and hunting licenses for 1953 are now being mailed from the Fish and Game department offices of-fices to the approximately 500 license dealers over the state. All dealers will be supplied by the last day of May. Following are the answers by department spokesmen to the most frequently asked questions regarding the 1953 fish and game tickets: When must I obtain a 1953 license li-cense to legally go afield? By Junp 1. Licenses will he avail able over the state at that time and commission ruling extended the old issue only until the new was in the hands of the dealers. I purchased a temporary fishing fish-ing permit. When must I replace it with a regular license? By June 1 as noted upon the face of your permit. You may exchange ex-change your special fishing permit per-mit at face value upon a regular license with any license dealer. Who must have a license to fish? Under the new code, "Resl- j dent" means any citizen of the United States who has been bona fide domiciled in the the State of Utah for one year immediately immediate-ly preceding the date of purchase of a license. All military person- nel must qualify under this same law, except that any citizen of Utah now a member of the armed forces and stationed out-! side the state and who is here on j leave or furlough, or who was a resident immediately before joining the services and has now! been discharged, may purchase a resident license. ) Must the 1953 license be worn visibly? Yes, at all times while in the act of fishing, hunting, or, trapping. Does the new license fit the container I now have? Yes. You may replace your old visible card with the 1953 visible license in the same container. What do I use for a license container if my old one is lost or if I am a license buyer for the first time? All dealers will have license containers for sale at 15c each. Under the new law these containers are not a part of the license as sold during the past two years. It is now the obligation obliga-tion of each license buyer to furnish fur-nish a license holder so that the license is displayed visibly when In use. Will I receive a deer tag with my big game andor fish and game combination licenses this year? Y'es. The deer tag for 1953 is a ball type metal seal. Considerable inconvenience inconven-ience and cost will be necessary to receive a duplicate deer tag. Since the tag need not be carried with the license until the deer hunting season, it is advised to place it with your hunting equipment equip-ment or in some other place where it will be remembered and at hand for the fall hunt. When do the 1953 licenses expire? ex-pire? Utah's fish and game license li-cense year annually begins April 16 and ends April 15 the year following.
