Show Race Meet to Be Held On Memorial Day A special Memorial Day race meet will be held at the Parowan City race track on Saturday, May 30, it is announced by Art Low-der, Low-der, chairman of the racing committee com-mittee for the Red Hill Wranglers, Wrang-lers, who are sponsoring the meet. The Wranglers is an organization organ-ization of local horsemen, with E. J. King as president. Club members have the track in good shape for Saturday's racing rac-ing card which is set to start at 2:30 p. m. with six races on the program, featuring some of the best horses in southern Utah. The races will be started from the starting gate built and owned by Parowan City and Parowan Post No. 20, American Legion. Mr. Lowder states that there is a possibility that two matched races will be run, which should carry a lot of interest for southern south-ern Utah racing fans. The first of these would pit Wes Mullett's Wilbur, against Kanab owned, Rock and Roll, and the second would pit Piute and Foul Play, Parowan and Cedar horses, together. to-gether. Several other well known horses from Iron, Washington and Kane counties will be here to help fill the six race program. |
