Show Douglas Stringfellow Honored at I Luncheon This Week J Congressman Douglas Strinp-fcllow Strinp-fcllow visited in Cedar City briefly brief-ly Tuesday enroute back to Washington, D. C. from Las Vegas, Ve-gas, where he had been to witness wit-ness an atomic artillery bomb detonation. He was honored at a short luncheon, at which he voiced opinions on a number of national problems, and discussed local problems with Cedar City citizens. Mr. Stringfellow stated that he felt that Utahns need not be alarmed about the dangers of the Atomic cloud "fallout" because he felt sure that the necessary precautions to protect the populace popu-lace had been taken by the Atomic Energy Commission. The congressman defended President Eisenhower's economy program, and his action with regards re-gards to immediate tax reduction, reduc-tion, and also voiced the opinion that a satisfactory solution to the Korean problem would be reached soon. |
