Show Giasshoppei Menace The need for a grasshopper control program in Iron county in the very near future has arisen, ari-sen, according to Stephen L. Brower, Iron County agricultural agent. There have been reports he says, of grasshoppers hatching hatch-ing in Paragonah both in crop land and range land, as well as on bench land at Newcastle and crop land on the Zickerman farms in the Escalante valley. Mr. Brower will be out of the county during most of the summer, sum-mer, attending the University of Maryland, and in his absence, Horace Hall, Agricultural inspector, inspec-tor, will be in charge of coordination coordin-ation of the grasshopper control program. Mr. Brower urges all land owners to contact Mr. Hall with regard to the local situation. situa-tion. He may be contacted at the County Agent's office in the federal fed-eral building in Cedar City. |
