Show Cedar City Youth Cornered By Irate Heifer Jerry Carpenter, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Carpenter, Carpen-ter, narrowly escaped serious injury in-jury Wednesday when he was attacked at-tacked by a young heifer being pastured in a vacant lot near the Carpenter home. Quick response of a neighbor who heard the child's screams undoubtedly saved him from serious injury. Jerry was enroute home from play when he started through the lot in which the heifer was pasturing, when the animal charged him. Mrs. Morgan Rollo, who heard the boy's screams, rushed out of her home to find the animal had forced the lad into a corner of the lot and was crushing him against the wire fence. Fortunately the boy escaped with nothing more serious than cuts and bruises, and a -right genuine scare. |
