Show I New 4-H Club Gets Ready for Duck Creek Outing The "Work and Play" 4-H club of Cedar City organized this year under the leadership of Mrs. Howard Stokes have been rushing work meeting activities in preparation prep-aration for the annual 4-H Encampment En-campment to be held at Duck Creek this week end, Aug. 6, 7 and 8. The members chose the name "Work and Play" club because so many delightful hours are spent together learning to make fine breakfasts. Half of the fun, the club members report, is to sample sam-ple the muffins, fruits and other breakfast treats that are tried out at the club meetings. Members of the this newly organized or-ganized group are Judy Hall, president; Sharon Olsen, vice president; Helen Stokes, secretary; secre-tary; Mari Less Cosslett, reporter; Jeanne Simkins, cheer leader; Anna Carter, chairman of the Mother's Breakfast; Shannon Bryan, Bry-an, chairman of the 4-H camp and Bette Bulloch, chairman of menus. These young misses planned to arrive at Duck Creek for the outing prior to noon today, Thursday. After preparing lunch and pitching tents, they will participate par-ticipate in the encampment activities ac-tivities which will include camp-fire camp-fire gathering in the evenings, hiking and handicraft. They will return home Saturday. |
