Show Distinguished Flying Cross Awarded To Alan Williams Alan Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williams of Cedar City, who has been serving with the Fifth Air Force in Korea since late in 1952, returned home last week on rotation, and is now enjoying en-joying a 30-day leave, before reporting re-porting for re-assignment. Alan, with a rating of Airman, second class, has been serving as a radio operator on a recon-naisance recon-naisance plane flying over enemy ene-my territory in North Korea to provide weather observations to assist in planning and executing execut-ing air strikes against the enemy. en-emy. During his service in Korea, Airman Williams, by order of the President, was awarded the Distinguished Dis-tinguished Flying Cross for extra-ordinary achievement.
