Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Miss Barbara Grimshaw, who is working for the Utah Parks at Grand Canyon, spent throe days visiting with her folks in Enoch. The Hunter Gibson family made a trip to Orderville last Sunday to the Christening of their granddaughter, the (laughter (laugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Royce Chamberlain. Cham-berlain. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Halter-(man Halter-(man and baby of Salt Lake City spent a week visiting in Parowan and Midvalley. Richard Rich-ard has signed a contract to teach in the Granite school district dis-trict next winter. Richard is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Hal-tcrman Hal-tcrman of Midvalley. Mr. and Mrs. OWn Hatch have a baby girl, born at the hospital at Fillmore on July 29. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw of Mid-valley Mid-valley and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hatch of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Delyle Esplin of Shelley, Idaho, were visitors here for a few days. DeLyle is a soni of the late Carlyle and Lillian Armstrong Esplin. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones spent three days at Pine Valley this week attending the Simp-kins Simp-kins reunion. Alan Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williams, is home on a 30-day leave from Korea. A large per cent of the Enoch ward attended the MIA stake party at Vermilion Castle in Parowan Par-owan canyon on Tuesday night. The people of the ward are busy again working on the ward chapel. It looks like we might soon get it finished. The Relief Society is furnishing lunch for the workers every Saturday. The members of the Parowan stake Seventies quorum from the Enoch ward attended a party held at Vermilion Castle on Monday Mon-day night to celebrate their victory vic-tory in the Temple work contest. con-test. The Enoch group had challenged chal-lenged the rest of the quorum last March to see who could do the most Temple work by the time the Temple closed this summer sum-mer and were winners in the contest. Members of the quorum from the other wards of the stake provided the supper and party. |
