Show Cedar's Softball All-stars To Meet Pioche Nine Sunday evening, Aug. 9, on the local suftball diamond an all-star all-star team from Pioche, Nov. will meet an all-star team from Cedar Ce-dar Ci"y in a double-header. I Ed Mcarrell, manager of Iron Mountain team of the Cedar City league has been chosen as manager man-ager of the all-star team. Mr. Ilearrell has selected two players from each of the seven teams in the Cedar City league plus three pitchers and their respective catchers, to meet the Pioche crew. Representatives from the seven teams aie as follows: Iron Mountain, Moun-tain, Jensen, Adams, either Truman Tru-man or stahcli as pitcher and Malessia; Columbia, Fullmer (Bunny), retty, Nelson, pitcher, and Dotson; Desert Mound, Sargent, Sar-gent, Cloward, Sturznogger, pitcher, pitch-er, and Adams; Utah Construction, Construc-tion, Englestead, and Melling; Bradshaw, H. Peterson, Berry; Parowan, Whitney, and El Rey Cafe, Watson and Felt. Possible starting line-up for the Ceilar Citv nll.ctn ro tn tli Pioche encounter will be Sargent, first base; Whitney, second base; Fullmer, shortstop; Peterson, third base; Watson, left field; Jensen, centerfield, and Engle-stead, Engle-stead, right field. The starting pilcner has not been selected and upon the selection of the pitcher, his respective catcher will be behind be-hind the plate. |
