Show CLUB NOTES Mrs. Ralph Box Friday afternoon the ladies of the M B W were the guests of Mrs. Herbert Milne for their regular reg-ular meeting and social. Mrs. George Hunter was in charge of the program. She presented several sev-eral interesting readings on Utah. Following the program lunch was served by the hostess to Mrs. Mack Naegle, Mrs. M. D. Arns, Mrs. King Stevenson, Mrs. Hyrum Perry, Mrs. Darwin Nelson, Nel-son, Mrs. Milo Corry, Mrs. Elias Leigh, Mrs. Wallace Flanigan, Mrs. Haldow Christensen, Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. John Brown. w w Mrs. J. M. Palmer entertained Thursday for the members of her club at a luncheon. Following the luncheon the guests enjoyed an afternoon of bridge. Special guests were Mrs. F. B. Parkinson, Parkin-son, Mrs. Clyde Higbee and Mrs. Mark McMullin. Score prizes were awarded to Mrs. Arnold Anderson An-derson and Mrs. Sherwin Brad-shaw. Brad-shaw. Ladies of the Round Table literary lit-erary club were the guests of Mrs. LaVand Bauer, Friday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Howard Stokes, program pro-gram chairman, invited Mrs. G. O. Larson as the guest speaker. Mrs. Larson chose as her subject "Early Pioneer Music" and followed fol-lowed through with a theme depicting de-picting the organization of choirs and bands in Utah. Following the interesting program a luncheon lunch-eon was served by Mrs. Bauer to 16 members of the club. Beta Sigma Phi, a Cedar City sorority, held a special theme party on Thursday, July 20 at the home of Mrs. Court Nelson. Invitations Invi-tations were mailed to all members mem-bers with the menus printed in Italian. The evening was enjoyed en-joyed with social activities and an Italian dinner by the 18 sorority so-rority sisters. Mrs. Conway Parry entertained 10 members of her club at a luncheon and bridge meeting on Monday evening. Special guests included Mrs. Winston Seegmil-ler Seegmil-ler and Mrs. Al Fisher. Bridge scores were won by Mrs. Robert Gardner and Mrs. Milton Sevy. Mrs. Glen White was hostess Wednesday evening at her home for the ladies of Club Tyro. Mrs. William Herald was a special guest to the club with Mrs. Jack ! Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith left Wednesday on the first lap of their vacation to Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller and son of rocatello, Idaho spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ar-nold Arrowsmith. They were en route to Mexico for their vacation. Strate being awarded the score prize. Mrs. S. W. Heyborne entertained enter-tained the ladies of the Wednesday Wednes-day club for luncheon and bridge. Mrs. Arthur Higbee, Mrs. Wirth Wood. Mrs. Merrill Kunz, and Mrs. Sherwin Bradshaw were special guests. Score prizes were received by Mrs. Bradshaw, Mrs. Sam Gentry and Mrs. Kunz. The members of the Summer Reading club were the guests of Mrs. Alene Jensen Friday afternoon after-noon at her home. Mrs. W. T. Krueker was invited as the guest speaker by Mrs. Emma Nelson, program chairman. Mr. Frueger presented slides of the beautiful scenery of the southern Utah parks. Refreshments were served to the 14 members In attendance and to Mrs. Annette Betenson, Mrs. May Higbee, Mrs. LeVinna Jones, Mrs. Louise Sargent and Mrs. Rose Judd, special guests for the afternoon. |
