Although Al-though two make-up games have yet to be played none of the teams could equal the 6 wins and no loss record racked up by Biederman's x The two make-up games to be played in order to complete the first half pits Peoples Market against Thorntons and Endsley's Peoples Market is involved in both make-up games. In the final game of the first half Milt's Lounge barely edged out People Market in a high scoring scor-ing affair, 25 to 24, to put Milt's in second place. However if the Market team can win its makeup games, it can tie Milt's for second sec-ond and third place. Other games of the week saw Biederman's easily down the El Rey Cafe, 32 to 9, and Hunter's downed Thornton's 36 to 21 in the highest scoring game of the league this season. Peoples Market Mar-ket won its second encounter during the past week's play, wining win-ing over Hunter Hardware, 32-14. Tuesday evening the second half of the league play got under way when Endsley's beat out El Rey Cafe 27 to 10, the only game thus far in the second half. Preparations are being made at the present time fo the Southern Utah Women's Softball tournament tourna-ment to be held in Cedar City on July 24; 25 and 26. Invitations have already been sent out to the surrounding communities. Any women's team in the southern Utah area that has not received an invitation and would like to enter the tourney is asked to contact Mrs. Fred Biederman, president of the Ce ar City asso- elation. |
