The activities . will give Cedar City one of the busiest week ends in many years. This is the first rodeo attempted attempt-ed in Cedar City in many years and the American Legion committees com-mittees have done everything possible to make the show .one of the best ever staged here. If the current show is successful the Legionnaires plan to make It an annual event, working each year to improve facilities at the Iron Bowl south of the city. A full program of rodeo events, roping, riding, bulldogglng, together to-gether with highly entertaining specialty acts has been arranged, and those in charge feel sure there will not be a dull moment In the three afternoon programs. The evening boxing and wrestling wrest-ling cards are being staged by Ira Dern of Salt Lake City, one time world's wrestling champion, and prominent promotor for many years. The cards and the dances to follow will be held In the B A C fieldhouse where there is plenty of room for everyone. In years past the American Legion Le-gion has staged numerous very successful rodeos, but the show this year is the first the Legionnaires Legion-naires have attempted since the old rodeo grounds north of the city were abandoned. |
