Show Coloradoan Named Ranger on Dixie National Forest John H. Stithem, a graduate of the Colorado A & M college, has been named forester on the East Fork ranger district of the Dixie National forest, according to For-erst For-erst Supervisor, Albert Albertson. Mr. Stithem graduated from Colorado A & M at Fort Collins, Colo., on June 6, 1952. Prior to that time he spent twb and one-months one-months on the Coconino forest in Arizona, observing the problems of forest management practices on that forest. He spent last summer on fire control work on the Fremont forest in Oregon. Mr. Stithem, his wife and two sons are now living at the Devil's Dev-il's Hollow ranger station, and will move to Panguitch at the beginning of the school year. The Stithems are natives of southwestern Colorado, and Mr. Stithem is a veteran of two years Naval service in World War II. |
