Show Patriotic Program Scheduled Friday. July 4th A patriotic program that should prove to be one of the finest presented here for sometime some-time has been arranged by the American Legion and its auxiliary auxil-iary unit for a portion of the Independence In-dependence Day program in Cedar Ce-dar City. The program will be presented in the First ward chapel cha-pel at 11 a. m. July 4, and will feature an address, awarding oi military citations, an excellent musical program and an appropriate approp-riate reading. Capt. James Hoyle, Jr., and Lt Henry H. Leigh, both officers whr served with the 213th Field Artillery Ar-tillery Battalion in Korea, wil' receive recognition when citations cita-tions awarded them with be presented pre-sented at the program. Dr. Daryl Chase, director of the Branch Agricultural college, will deliver the address of the day, and will have a message of importance im-portance as the people of Cedar City pause to observe the anniversary anni-versary of American independence. indepen-dence. The musical program, in addition ad-dition to congregational singing, will Include vocal numbers by the American Legion auxiliary ladies trio, composed of Mrs. Luana Riddle, Mrs. Gladys Isom and Mrs. Nada Gardner, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Mary Jane Seaman; Sea-man; another ladies trio under the direction of Miss Christine Houchen, and a vocal solo by Theon Thorley. Mrs. Ellen Bulloch is in charge of the program, and Burns Sher-ratt, Sher-ratt, post commander of the American .Legion, will preside. Everyone is invited to attend the program and participate In the Independence Day ceremonies. |
