Show Social Notes By Mn. Ralph Box Mr. and Mrs. Max Wilkinson of Salt Lake City enjoyed a few days visit at the home of Mrs. Wilkinson's mother, Mrs. Lillian AhLstrom. Miss Alice Williams, Mrs. Gertrude Ger-trude Walker and Mrs. Ella Led-better Led-better enjoyed the week end at Las Vegas. Mrs. Leonard Ahlstrom and two children of Twin Falls, Idaho are visiting in Cedar City with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Burnham and to attend the wedding of her sister, Miss Betty Burnham and Gary Macfarlane on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Empey were called into Ogcfen Saturday because be-cause of the sudden death of a ' Blster-in-law of Mr. Empey. The month of March created much activity for the members of Cedar chapter 20, Order of Eastern East-ern Star. March 1, they attended the first card party held in the new Masonic temple. The public got a glimpse of the nearly completed com-pleted temple. Mrs. Ralph Box, assisted by Mrs. Harold Oakley and Howard Mace were in charge c-1 this affair. The members of the Cedar chapter wish to thank Cedar City people for their fine support and to the merchants for their most generous gifts. They thank Mullett Jewelry, I. G. A. Food Store, Moderne Style, Thornton Thorn-ton Drug, Hanzon Floral, Leigh Furniture, and La Frentz Liquid Gas. Monday, March 3, Mrs. Evelyn Carle, Grand Lecturer of Grand Chapter of Order of Easter Star was received at a banquet at El Escalante hotel, following with a special meeting at the Masonic temple for initiation of new members. Mr. and Mrs. James Hunter, past Patron and past Matron Ma-tron of San Diego O. E. S. chapter, chap-ter, were guests, following the meeting Charles Moore, assisted by Theo Mohler and Ira McClure .were hosts for the social hour. |
