Show Enoch and Midvalley ! Mr. and Mrs. Urie Williams made a trip to California last week in company with their son Howard. They visited with the Stewart Thorley family in Colton, Calif. They also visited many points of interest, including the Church welfare farm. They report re-port that they were very much impressed with the size of the farm, the amount of livestock on it, the acreage of crops, and the number of buikM lgs. Mr. and Mrs. Rvy Armstrong of Provo stopped here for a short visit last week end. They were on their way to work in the St. George temple, but remained here because of the serious illness ill-ness and death of Mrs. Armstrong's Arm-strong's sister, Mrs. J. L. Stephens of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jones and Hunter Gibson were business visitors in Salt Lake City last week. On their return trip they went to Delta to visit with Mr. Jones' mother, who is suffering from an injury to her hip received re-ceived in a fall on the ice recently. re-cently. Construction work on the new Enoch ward chapel has reached the point of cleaning, painting and finishing, and the women of the ward are now able to help the men with the project. Married in the St. George LDS temple on March 6 was Miss Clara Mae Grimshaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw, Grim-shaw, and Oleen Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hatch of Parowan. Par-owan. Accompanying the young couple to the temple from Enoch were Wrm H. Grimshaw, grandfather grand-father of the bride; her parents, Mrs. Druscilla Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones. Bishop and Mrs. Stanley Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Maxwell. LaVon Jones, who is living in Denver this winter, was operated on for appendicitis last week. |
