Show Delta Livestock Auction Co. Has New Manager The Delta Livestock Auction Co. changed management this week, and is now being operated by Jimmie Manning of Ogden, and Fred Levanger of Delta. Dewey Sanford, who has managed man-aged the auction since 1946, is retiring from the business at this time and will continue farming. Mr. Sanford pioneered these markets, mar-kets, and considerable business has been done through the regular, reg-ular, Friday livestock auctions, which have grown to be events of great interest, attended from near and far. The new management will continue con-tinue the Delta Livestock Auction Auc-tion business as usual, with Thursday sales and the hog shipping ship-ping business will continue also. Mr. Sanford started shipping hogs in 1937. Mr. Manning and Mr. Levanger are capable and experienced operators op-erators in the livestock business, and plan to develop and expand the Delta business. Mr. Manning has been in the auction business for many years, and has been connected with the Ogden Auction company. He owned and operated an auction company in California for six years. Mr. Lavenger "is well known in livestock circles throughout the west, and has been a livestock operator and cattle feeder for a number of years. He has been operating op-erating in Delta for the past four years. |
