" -- r;i l ii ii mm n i nil '"' WHITNEY JENSEN w- ' w In recognition of trie outstanding outstand-ing job he did in directing the Iron County Blood Donor project recently, Whitney Jensen of Cedar Ce-dar City has been appointed to head the Intermountain Blood Center Council. At an organization meeting held at Red Cross headquarters in Salt Lake City March 7 Mr. Jensen was named chairman of the Coordinating Council of the newly established Intermountain Red Cross Blood Center. There are 44 such blood centers in the United States, of which the new one in Salt Lake City is the ninth established in the west. The Intermountain center will serve the entire state of Utah sending bloodmobiles for collection collec-tion of blood to member chapters and in turn sending needed hlnnd to membpr hosDltals. tals. Serving with Mr. Jensen will be Mrs. Virginia Wilson from Summit county and James Wade, blood chairman from Salt Lake City. |
