Show NEWCASTLE A very pleasant evening of entertainment en-tertainment was provided Saturday, Satur-day, March 7, by the Bee Hive girls, Cleo Tullis, Karolyn Knell, Dorothy Ward and Lydia Harrison, Harri-son, under the direction of their leader, Shirley Esplin. It consisted consist-ed of a Sadie Stockings floor show, stunts and dancing. A prize was awarded for the most unusual un-usual stockings worn. Popcorn, punch and cakes were sold, the proceeds from which were to go toward furnishing a nursery room in the chapel basement. The ward Relief Society gave the program in church Sunday, March 9, with a theme centering on the home. Mrs. Effie Beacham and daugh-ter daugh-ter Fern have returned home after af-ter spending the past week visiting vis-iting other members of the family fam-ily in Tooele and Salt Lake City. Ben Linfield and his sister, Mary Linfield of Lund,, Nev. made a brief stop here Friday, calling at the home of their uncle un-cle Robert Piatt. They were en-route en-route to St. George with a group of young people from their ward for a day at the L D S temple. Mrs. Gordon Knell is spending a week visiting relatives and friends in Spanish Fork and Salt Lake City. |
