Show i Cedar City Man loins Government Staff in Jordan Authon H. Lunt, son of Mrs. Henry W. Lunt of Cedar City, has been appointed as an assistant to the Acting " Director of the technical Cooperation in Jordan, according to an announcement made this week by the Department Depart-ment of State. Mr. Lunt will assist in setting up the fiscal and administrative offices of the cooperative departments. depart-ments. Mr. Lunt received his B.S. degree de-gree in 1926 from the Utah State Agricultural college, and is well prepared to set up Point 4 fiscal and administrative procedure abroad, having devoted nine years working with the U. S. agencies administering technical cooperation programs in the other oth-er American Republics where U. S. bilateral cooperation began. He was with the Inter- departmental depart-mental committee on Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the Department of State for three years, from 1948 to 1951, as chief of the budget and administrative procedures branch. From 1942 to 1948 he was with the Institute of Inter-American Affairs as inspector in-spector of foreign administration. In this position he visited most of the countries of the Western Hemisphere and in many cases helped with the establishment of the cooperative services. |
