Show Lt. Col. Edmund Hansen Lt. Col, Edmund Earl Hansen, USAF, Ret,, died Sunday, Feb- 24, at age 59 of a massive cerebral hemorrhage- o He was bom June 16, 1931, in Belleville, N.J.. where he spent his early years. During Dur-ing his military career ca-reer he was stationed in Newport, R.I., Texas; Wyoming; Utah League of Writers statewide contests, and currently his latest novel is being handled by an agent to be published. Ed and his wife traveled throughout many countries of the world, making lifetime friends wherever they went. He was a member of the LDS Centerville Second Ward. Survived by his wife, Dolores Jean Wolfe; two daughters and their husbands, Joy E. and Darrell Carpenter of Layton, and Julie D. and Kelly Feller of Woods Cross; one brother, Irv Hansen and wife Norma of Bountiful; and six grandchildren, Chris and Lauren Carpenter, and Kasey, Kristen, Bradley and Sadie Feller; nieces and nephews, Lisa Thurman, Richard, KayLyn, Steven and Eric Hansen; and many members of his wife's family with whom he was very close. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. at the Centerville Second Ward chapel, 1475 N. 50 E. Friends may call at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening and on Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the Centerville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Davis School District Foundation. Korea; Japan; Andrews An-drews AFB, Md; France; Germany; Ohio and, finally, in Centerville, since 1974. He received three bachelor's degrees and a master's degree and attended at-tended the following schools: Belleville High School Class of 1 949, ; U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1956, j University of Maryland, Air Force In stitute of Technology (Dayton), and Weber State College. He was involved in many activities which included being past president of the Utah CentervilleFarmington Rotary, past president of the Utah League of Writers, Bountiful Chapter, and member of the Davis Schools Foundation Board of Directors and the Utah Scottish Association.
