Show Campaign starts for the American Heart Assoc. Volunteers from the American Heart Association, Utah Affiliate began their 1 99 1 Neighbor-to-Neighbor fund-raising campaign Feb. 22. The annual campaign will continue through March 4. For 1991 the Utah volunteers hope to raise $310,000. Funds raised will be spent on lifesaving heart and blood vessel research re-search and community education and service programs. American Heart Association supported research re-search projects and programs have been beneficial in the overall reduction reduc-tion of heart and blood vessel diseases and stroke over the last 10 years. This year the volunteers will seek contributions and distribute free in formation to their neighbors on how the AHA works for Utahns. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to the reduction of disability and death from heart and blood vessel diseases, which annually kill almost one million Americans. Last year the AHA spent more than $150 million for research support and public and professional education and community programs.
