Davis County residents can receive free tax help through VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service. The VITA Program, now in its 21st year, offers free tax help to lower income, elderly, non-English speaking and handicapped taxpayers tax-payers who file simple returns. Volunteers are trained by IRS, but do not handle complicated tax matters.
