Show Boycott threatens Utah SALT LAKE CITY With the controversy over the recently-passed recently-passed tough abortion bill, Utah tourist officials are cautiously concerned con-cerned over the threat of a national boycott. "We're not convinced that the controversy will have much of an impact," said an official with the Utah Travel Council. "At the same time, a boycott by the National Organization of Women wouldn't do us any good either." The Utah affiliate of the women's group is recommending that the national organization urge tourists to avoid Utah to show their distaste for the strict abortion law, said to be the toughest in the nation, adopted by the state legislature. |
