Show Dexter found mentally fit for trial FARMINGTON Terry M. Dexter has been found mentally fit to stand trial on charges of conspiracy con-spiracy to murder his wife. Dexter, a former Califomian, appeared ap-peared before 2nd District Court completed and Dexter was found to be mentally sound. Since that time, Dexter has tried to take his own life on two separate occasions. Dexter is charged with ag gravated burglary, a first degree felony, aggravated assault, a third-degree third-degree felony, and conspiracy to commit murder, a first-degree ' felony. Justice Rodney S. Page last week where results of the defendant's most recent mental evaluations were reviewed. The court determined, based on a report from Davis County Mental Health, that Dexter is competent to stand trial. The recent evaluation was ordered due to attempts by the prisoner to commit suicide as he awaited trial in the Davis County Jail, court authorities said. Trial was set for March 13. Dexter was initially arrested in October for aggravated burglary and assault based on an incident at his former wife's Layton home. He entered the home and after an altercation, alter-cation, was stabbed by his wife's son by a previous marriage. Attorney for the plaintiff, Carvel Harward, said it was while Dexter was incarcerated for that incident that he allegedly tried to make arrangements ar-rangements for his former wife to be murdered.
