Show ttii- ' I By - Racers challenge course BRIAN HEAD National Ski Patrol day at Brian Head was a tremendous success as it climaxed with a challenging obstacle course race Saturday. In addition to costume skiing and painted faces, as demonstrated by Brian Head National Ski Patrol Director Steve Hagerty (lower right) an obstacle course race was conducted. Southern Utah favored Iron County Record racers Bruce Lee and Randy Daniels (pictured above left to right) won first place honors in media competition in the whacky race where two racers were roped together, one blindfolded without skis, and the other with skis. Members of the challenging KBRE 93 FM Ski Team (lower right) had a greater disadvantage when neither team member had ever been on skis before. In overall competition the Brian Head Ski School was victorious with a combined race time of 1 :54.15. ..Along with the rest of the day's activities, hundreds hun-dreds of dollars in prizes were given away. |
