Show St, George annual Arts Festival to feature 96 professional artists Library, by St. George and Washington County performing artists; "Just 4 Kids" creative art activities and experiences ex-periences at St. George Art Center; National Invitational Art Show at Spearex Western Art Gallery, Ancestor Square; Regional Invitational In-vitational Art Show at the Art Shoppe, Ancestor Square; and antique and classic car show on downtown Main Street, Dixie State Bank parking lot. ST. GEORGE The Third Annual St. George Arts Festival will feature the professional art work of 96 artists, (65 from the state of Utah) from nine states. They will be exhibiting and selling their artwork on downtown Main Street for two days during Easter weekend, April 9-10. 9-10. Formerly conducted on Labor Day weekend for the past two years, the St. George Arts Festival has been moved to April 9-10, Easter weekend, St. George's busiest weekend, to capitalize on St. George's spring weather. This- has resulted in 25 percent more artists than the former Labor Day festival attracted. The art work of 96 professional artists will be exhibited for sale to the public on downtown Main Street, between Tabernacle and 100 South. The various categories include acrylics, blown glass, bronze sculpture, ceramics, stoneware, raku, drawing, jewelry, leathercraft, metalwork, masaics, collage, oils, Oriental painting on silk, photography, print-making, print-making, stained . glass, ... watercolors, fibrework, -woodcraft and etching; , Other scheduled activities ac-tivities during the two-day two-day festival include an on-going series of art demonstrations at the Washington County Library, music and entertainment, en-tertainment, : beginning hourly on stage in front of the Washington County |
