Show Enoch By VEDA MATHESON Record Correspondent Mr. and Mrs. Bob Munson and family were here to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jones and other family members. Bob and Mavis live in Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCausland were here over the weekend from Washington to visit with Mr. and Mrs. David Grimshaw and be present vwhen their granddaughter, grand-daughter, Merline Grimshaw, was baptized. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tann became great-grandparents great-grandparents two weeks ago with the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Don Walton. The grandparents, Kenny and Sharron Powell came from California to see the new baby and to visit with Fred and Millie Tann. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cowan came from Walla Walla, Wash., to spend this week with Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson and visit with other friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Max Heaton came from Hatch, Utah, to visit with Steve and Kathy Strand and be present when their grandson, Scott Strand, was baptized. The Cedar City North Stake baptismal services were held at the Enoch Church on Saturday evening. Eight boys and girls were baptized. Mr. and Mrs. Kim Matheson and family were in Salt Lake recently where Margo participated in the contest to choose the Young Mother of the year. A young Mother organization has recently been formed in the Enoch area. Mrs. Matheson was chosen to represent the local chapter. Mr. and Mrs. David Nelson enjoyed a visit recently from Mrs. Nelson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stringham and three daughters of Barstow; her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Vera Stringham, of Bloomington; and Mr. Nelson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nelson of Barstow, Calif. ' The occasion was the birthday bir-thday of. the Nelson's young son. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Heaps spent four days last week in Salt Lake where they worked at the genealogy library. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Christiansen were in Salt Lake part of last week visiting with their family members there. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Sevy and children were visitors at the Gaylen Matheson home over the weekend. The Sevy's live in Ogden. |
