Show FFA Award for Burton PAROWAN - With great , pride, Thales C. Brown, Parowan High School Vocational Ag Instructor, announced the nomination of David Burton for an American Farmer Degree, the highest award given by the FFA. During his high school career David served as president of the Parowan High School chapter of the FFA during his senior year. He served as treasurer and as secretary during his Junior and Sophomore years, as well as being a member of the club four years. He is now following a successful agricultural career. The American Farmer Degree is an honor given to fellows who have qualified as a State Farmer; who has qualities of leadership and has Agricultural Operations. Mr. Burton is one of seven nominated from the state of Utah. The degree will be awarded in November, 1980, in Kansas City Missouri, during the National FFA Convention. |
