Show County Cancer Crusade Dick Nourse, one of Utah's premier Newsmen, is just another good example of how early cancer detection can make treatment a lot more effective. Nourse is a relatively young man and yet could have been stricken down by this dreaded disease, but early detection will probably make it possible lor Dick to continue his career. He has already returned to his post as anchorman on the KSL-TV KSL-TV news staff. April is Cancer Crusade month in Iron County and Utah. A Cancer Volunteer will be calling, in a door to door campaign, on homes for contributions to the Cancer Society which will be used to assist with the research needed to help keep people like Dick Nourse on the job. LaRue Gardner is the Iron County Chairman this year. Sara Jarrelt is serving as Cedar Stake Chairman; Rachacl Hunt, Cedar West Stake Chairman; Petty Robinson and Sue Jensen are working with the Cedar North Stake and Luzon Forsyth represents New Castle. The business district canvass is under the direction of Cindy Mitchell with Doris Williams as chairman lor south Iron County. " Together we're going to beat cancer in your lifetime. You do your part by having at least an annual check-up and give a check to your Cancer Volunteer when they call on you," urges Mrs. Gardner. |
