Show Local Doctor Honored DR. L.V. BROADBENT Dr. L. V. Broadbent, who maintained his medical practice in Cedar City for the past 40 years and recently retired, has been named Utah's "Doctor of the Year". Chosen by the Utah State Medical Association, Broadbent received an award at the group's last meeting which was presented by Dr. James 0. Mason, Utah Health Director and representative of Governor Scott Matheson at the presentation. Broadbent has been active in professional associaitons in the state for many years and in 1947-48 served as vice president of the USMA. He served Cedar City as mayor for four years, is a past president of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Rotary Club. Dr. Broadbent has been active in many civic affairs and recently moved to Salt Lake City for his retirement. |
