Vernal, died February 3 at approximately 9 a.m. at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City following a short illness. il-lness. She was born August 12, 1947 in Powhuska, Oklahoma to B.R. and Helen Galligher. Her father proceeded her in death. She married Jim Sweeden on September 29, 1967 in Powhuska, Oklahoma. They were later divorced. Survivors include her mother of Taft, California; seven sisters: Patsy Kraft, Linda Heatley, Debbie Watts, Nancy Jones and Donna Galligher, all of Taft, California; Wanda Coffee, Shawnee. Oklahoma; and Bettv Sroufe. Arkansas Arkan-sas City, Arkansas; three brothers, Bob and Scott Galligher, Taft, Calif,; and Ted Galligher, Barnsdell, Oklahoma. She has lived in Vernal three years and was a member of Ladies Petroleum, Beta Sigma Chi sorority and the Ladies of the Elks. She was an accomplished artist and loved creative things. Services and burial will be in Taft, California. |
