Show Datch ohn June Schaffran Phone 885-3728 1 Daughter born to Bruce Schmidts Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Schmidt announced an-nounced the birth of their daughter Valerie Cristine Schmidt, born at 2:08 a.m. on January 29. Valerie weighed in 5 at 7 lbs. 9 ounces and measured 20 j inches long. Mr. and Mrs. Steve I Gillmore, parents of Jackie Schmidt, are in town visitng their new grand- daughter. The Gillmore's are from Bountiful. A "Take the family out to dinner" chili feed was held Monday, February 4 at the Dutch John Conference Hall. The chili dinner was sponsored by CRSP as the first fund raiser of the year. A CRSP sponsored Valentines pancake dinner and fund raising auction will be held February 15 at 6 p.m. at the Dutch John Conference Hall. Anyone having articles to donate for the auction, please contact Kelly Philips or Becky Kramer. The Flaming Gorge Reservoir has begun to freeze over but is still unsafe for ice fishing or crossing. Dutch John welcomes two new families to town. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Gray and family are formerly of Manila. Lew will be working in recreation operation and maintenance for the U.S. Forest Service. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Nicholson of Orem and family are also new residents. Ron will be the new assistant ranger for the Utah Park Service. The Damsels Women's Club held their election meeting. New officers are: president-June Schaffran; vice president-Evelyn Lund; secretary-treasurer-Carolyn Anderson; historian-Sondra historian-Sondra Shipton. New CRSP officers are president-; president-; Doug Dunn; vice president -Dan Fogg; treasurer-Annis Nicotera; membership-Carolyn membership-Carolyn Ancterson; eniertainment-Kathie eniertainment-Kathie and Bob Meinrod, and Annie and Cleve Yates; concessions-Terry Kelley secretary, Rena Poleson. |
