They are making their home in Vernal. Double-ring ceremony unites Murray-Norton Sherie Lyn Murray became the bride of Jeffrey Y. Norton at a double-ring ceremony at the Vernal First Ward. Bishop Vaughn Francis officiated at the wedding. Sherie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Murray and Jeffrey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Norton. All are of Vernal. Guests attended from Rock Springs, Wyoming and Salt Lake City, Roosevelt and Vernal. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at their home on January 11. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Vernal First Ward. .- The bride's traditional long, white wedding gown was designed with a high neckline with sheer lace inset in the bodice. The empire waistline was accented ac-cented with satin and lace ribbon. The long puffed sleeves of sheer lace were unlined. The long skirt extended to a chapel train in back. The chapel length veil was edged with lace and attached to a lace trimmed cap. She carried a bouquet of silk yellow roses interspersed with tiny hearts and tied with lace streamers. Matron of honor was Paula Mar-tinsen. Mar-tinsen. She wore a floor-length polyester dress of yellow rose print with sheer jacket. Bridesmaids were Kathy Gale, Stacey Elmer and Jamie Norton. They work dresses identical to that of the matron of honor in a blue print. Flower girls were Kim Norton and Candida Oaks. They wore midi-length dresses of white eyelett with yellow rose print. They were tied at the waist with yellow satin ribbon. Ring bearer was Floyd Murray Jr. Both mothers of the couple chose blue floor-length polyester dresses and had yellow carnation corsages. Bestman was Todd Norton and ushers were Tad Coon, Terry Harrison and Monte Norton. All wore yellow tuxedos tux-edos with blue carnation boutonnieres. The hall was decorated with an arch draped with blue satin material with yellow hows on the sides and at the top. Pillars were decorated with bouquets of yellow and blue daisies. Mauna Rae Huxford was at the guest book. Gift bearers were Jody Fitts, Brandon Mons, Carrie McCIlean; gift room Barcy Huber and Clara Huxford; serving, Kellie Mons, Mindy McCIlean and Machelle Brimhall; and kitchen, Lorna Oaks, Janet Fitts and Geneva Massey. The three tiered wedding cake was covered with white icing, trimmed with yellow and decorated with yellow and blue daisies. On top were white satin bells. Special out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Brimhall and family and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Oaks and family all of Rock Springs, Wyoming. A personal shower was hosted by Glenna Murray and Paula Martinsen and a miscellaneous shower by Guyla Norton. Following a wedding trip to Salt Lake City, the couple is at home in Vernal. |
