Show ASHLEY NATIONAL FOREST NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER SALE NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER SALE, ASHLEY NATIONAL FOREST, CENTER CREEK SALE, located in TIN, R20E; TIN, R19E; and T1S, R20E, all SLM. SEALED bids will be received by the Forest Supervisor, 437 East Main, Vernal, Utah, 84078, at 2:00 p.m., local time, March, 10, 1980, to be followed immediately by oral bidding, for an estimated 2079 M board feet of live timber marked mark-ed or otherwise designated for cutting. The minimum acceptable bid per thousand board feet for all species live timber is $2.00. Additional deposits required for slash disposal is $.85 per M board feet for all live species. The bid rates will be subject to adjustment during the period of the sale as provided by the quarterly adjustment provisions of the timber sale contract. In addition, there is within the sale area, an estimated 609 M board feet, gross scale, of dead timber of all species, which will be paid for at the flat rate of $.70 per M board feet. The required bid guarantee is $400.00. There are no applicable road credits available at advertised rates. The maximum that may become available for this sale is $49396.31. In accordance with the National Forest Management Manage-ment Act of 1976, a bidder qualifying as a small business under the Small Business Act, (as amended amend-ed and the regulations issued thereunder) may elect at the time of sealed bid submission, to have the Forest Service con-truct con-truct the included specified roads. If the bidder bid-der elects to have the Forest Service construct the roads, the price paid for the timber shall include in-clude the estimated construction con-struction cost which is $53674.80. Such road will be constructed to the design classes and in accordance ac-cordance with drawings and specifications included includ-ed in the sample contract. Purchaser Credit Limit is stated in the sample contract con-tract and is $49396.31. Specified roads, whether constructed by the purchaser pur-chaser or the Forest Service, Ser-vice, shall be completed by September 30, 1981. If the purchaser elects to have the Forest Service Ser-vice construct the roads, the Forest Service in- tends to perform construction con-struction by contract. When the Forest Service intends to construct the road through a contract, the award of the timber sale contract will not be made unless either a satisfactory road construction con-struction bid is received, or if Forest Service fails to receive such a bid within 120 days of opening timber sale bids, bidder agrees to perform road contruction. All included timber shall be given domestic processing. Bidders are advised that violations of the domestic processing requirement constitutes breach of contract and may result in contract cancellations, or refusal to award sales to the , violator, or debarment or suspension from bidding on future timber sales. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. Full information concerning concer-ning the timber, the conditions con-ditions of sale, and the submission of bids, can be obtained from the District Ranger, Vernal, Utah, or the Forest Supervisor, Vernal, Utah.
