Show Jensen Gladys Peterson Phone 789-1945 Lazy River Trading Post now open The Lazy River Trading Post has opened once again under new management manage-ment of Pat and Dianne Young and family. They come from Provo. The services that are offered to the public are - a restaraunt, serve yourself food counter, souvenirs and U serve gas pumps. Jim Evans and his son, Jamie of Vernal, Ver-nal, have been in our area this past weekend tilling the vegetable gardens for various ones in our community to help us get ready for the coming growing grow-ing season. We are glad he performs this service as it gives us a big help when we plant our gardens to have the soil so evenly mulched. An open house for Jim Gates and Jana Wilkens, will be held at the Danny , Sessions home tonight, Thursday 24th. of April, from 7 to 9 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come and congratulate the couple on their forthcoming marriage. mar-riage. They are making their home in Jensen. Her sister ReAnn and friend Karen Gross are hostessing the happy event. The Grant Ainges of Rangely, Colo., visited at Mary Peterson's home Saturday. Satur-day. ' x Elder Dave Kaun gave his mission report Sunday. He served in the mission mis-sion field in Switzerland. Cub pack meeting will be held jointly with six other wards tonight, April 24, in the Naples recreation hall. All cub scouts and their parents are encouraged encourag-ed to be there at this special event. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. The Fran Peterson's traveled to Salt Lake City this past week then went to Manti and back to Mapleton, Utah where they attended the temple marriage mar-riage of their two nephews and visited a recently married friend, Cindy Hut-chins. Hut-chins. Cal Ruppe was home from BYU over the weekend and was made an Elder Sunday. He was then able to attend the Salt Lake temple with his brother and wife, the Lorn Ruppes. Scott Ruppe, a brother from Las Vegas came to Salt Lake City for the happy occasion there. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ruppe were able to be there along with a grandmother, Reva Ruppe. Mr. and Mrs. Fran Peterson, Peter-son, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ruppe and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Clark of Idaho, aunts and uncles of the couple were there also. After the ceremony honoring the couple the family traveled to Manti and joined with other family members to be in attendance at-tendance at the marriage of Douglas Clark of Rexburg, Idaho and Michele Thackery of Etna, California. Douglas is the son of Janet and Alan Clark. Janet is the sister of Jack Ruppe and Gladys Peterson. After the wedding Mrs. Reva Ruppe went to Idaho to attend at-tend the reception of her grandson and came home with another daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Oldaker. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ruppe and Mr. and Mrs. Fran Peterson took care of things at home until their mother returned. An exciting and fun beginning of the week was had by the whole family by being together and attending such special events. Jack Ruppe is able to get around in a wheelchair now and is doing better. Mrs. Rose Allred celebrated her 91st birthday Sunday, and an open house was held in the afternoon. Many of her friends and relatives gathered to congratulate con-gratulate her on her life of many active years. Mary Peterson went to the happy hap-py occasion. Rose and Mary are sisters-in-law. |
