' I HV! -j; -: s - I THE PEOPLE BEHIND the scenes of the production pro-duction "The King and I" are Carolyn Hanchett, publicity; Deanna Harding, costume design; Melinda Barlow, seamstress; Tanya Bullock, 'The King and I' to perform April 24-28 With rehearsals over, the production "The King and I" will perform April 24 to April 28 in the Uintah High School auditorium. Over $4,000 in props and costumes have given the play an authentic oriental setting. About 50 Uintah Basin residents are cast in the production. The orchestra for the Utah State Extension production is from Vernal and Roosevelt with Reed Hansen as the conductor. "The King and I," is about an English school teacher who goes to the Orient to teach in an irrate king's palace. Colorful costumes and fast-moving prop changes hold the audience's attention at-tention during the production. Nel Carlson, graduate of Utah State University in Fine Arts is the director of the play. He also created many of the props.
