CSfrm Co,orado and Utah took part in the Rangely Invita- Union Cougars place 5f h in Rangely meet The Union High School Cougars pocketed fifth place in the Rangely Invitational in Colorado, Saturday with 45 points. Steamboat Springs placed first with 174 counters. Union's Greg Mower pocketed second place in the discus with a toss of 131'. Jerry Hague tied for third place in the 100 yard dash at 10.7 and Union's Chance Fillingim placed third in the long jump with a leap of 18,10". Chad Hague garnered fourth place in the pole vault with a jump of 10'8". Union's mile relay team nabbed fourth place with a time of 3:44. Greg Mower garnered fifth place in the 330 hurdles with a time of 41.5 and Juan Shields placed sixth at 42.5. Alma Hall captured fifth place in the 2 miles. Steve Mieure and Tim Rasmussen tied for fifth place in the 880 yard run at 2:12. Rangely High School nabbed ninth place in the invitational with 23 points. Roberts of Rangely pocketed first place in the high jump with a leap of 6'1". Tim Collins, Rangely, placed fourth in the 440 and 220 yard dashes. Mitchem nabbed fourth place in the triple jump and Rangely's mile relay team placed fifth. Teams from such places as Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs, Meeker, Aspen, Rifle, Battle Mountain, Rangely, Uintah (Vernal), Union (Roosevelt), Roaring Fork, Plateau Valley, Eagle Valley, DeBeque and Craig took part in the invitational.
