Show Enid Hatch Phone789-315Q J Nephew dies on fishing trip Mrs. Blanch Smith received news of the death of her nephew, Boyd Christensen, son of Mazie Christensen, he had a heart attack and died in his sleep while on a fishing trip to Lake Powell. The funeral will be held Wednesday in Boise, Idaho where the family lives. Boyd grew up in Maeser. Chandler and Lesa Fisher from Orem spent the weekend with the Rodney Perry family. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Dan Turner left Thursday, April 27, for the National Board of Education convention conven-tion held in San Francisco, California. They were to return Tuesday, April 22. Blaine Joe and Cheryle Merkley are home for the summer from the BYU at Provo. Verla Anderson from Clearfield visited with Earl and Myrle Moore over the weekend. She also visited Sylvin and Mary Arrowsmith in Vernal. Myrle and Mary are sisters to Mrs. Verla Anderson. Shana Vernon visited her parents Alton and Edna Vernon and attended Vernon Leo Calder and Wendy Jean Spauldings reception Saturday April 19, at the Ashley Stake Center. Brent and Jana Joe Ross and daughter from Provo Pro-vo were also in attendance. Kathleen (Merkley) McOmber from Pocatello, Idaho has been visiting with her son and family, David R. Ahrnsbrak and children. Wallace and Mar Caldwell are at home again where Mrs. Caldwell is convalescing. con-valescing. Leroy and Phillys Foster and children from Walsenburg, Colorado visited over the weekend with the Ron Hatch family in Dry Fork Canyon. Bob Powells children held an open house for their parents Bob and Norma Powell. Friends and relatives attended and viewed their new home. Vilva Harrison and son, Mike Harrison, Har-rison, went to Salt Lake City where they attended Deanna Harrison's graduation gradua-tion from cosmetology college at the Utah Tech. They visited a week. New residents of Maeser are Gary ' and Becky Preece, children Ryan 3 and Stepanie 1. Gary is the new manager of the Meadow Gold Dairies and living at the plant here in Maeser. Mr. and Mrs. Hank Peltier and Mr. and Mrs. Venil Johnson were in Provo, Friday attending the graduation at BYU of Arleigh Peltier and Mrs. Erik (Lori Daun) Johnson. The girls received receiv-ed associate degrees from the College of Family Living. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Troester were in Salt Lake City, Monday and Tuesday of last week where Mr. Troester presented a paper about Ouray Refuge at the National Mosquito Control Conference Con-ference in a joint meeting with the Utah Mosquito Abatement Association. |
